You’ve got everything lined up — the supplier, the school, the family member waiting — but every time you need to send money abroad, it turns into a project. You try banks, platforms, and workarounds, and they all promise fast, cheap, and seamless transactions. And maybe the money moves. Eventually.

But none of them asked the one question that actually matters: what is this payment for?

The gap nobody talks about

Most payment platforms are built for transactions. They aren’t built for situations.

A first-time supplier payment isn’t the same as a recurring one. A tuition payment with a deadline in 48 hours isn’t the same as a trade transaction with a 30-day window. An SME paying for raw materials doesn’t have the same needs as a parent paying for their child’s education abroad.

Why we built Oneremit
